Acclaim Accreditation is the SSIP (Safety Schemes in Procurement) member scheme provided by Capita Supplier assessment services. Acclaim uses the expertise and knowledge of Capita Property and infrastructure, leaders in health and safety consultancy, to appraise each application.
BRITISH SAFETY COUNCIL
The British Safety Council’s vision is that “nobody is injured or made ill at work”. For over 60 years they have strived to keep people safe through the provision of education, guidance and support.
Not only a trusted advisor on health & safety compliance, but an authority. CHAS set industry benchmarks, provide assurance and reassurance, and offer best-in- class services that are easy to use and cost effective.
Safemark requires that contractors and sub-contractors must be assessed by a member of the SSIP (Safety Schemes in Procurement), as meeting acceptable health and safety standards. Accreditation lasts for 12 months and must be renewed annually with another full assessment.
The SafeContractor scheme provides a full health and safety audit for contractors who want to reassure their clients that health and safety is being handled correctly and sufficiently on their sites. SafeContractor’s qualified auditors review health and safety policies, procedures and documentation, taking into consideration the trade, industry sector and business size.
Developed by the National Federation of Roofing Contractors, the Safe2Torch campaign seeks to significantly reduce the risk of fires caused by gas torches during roof installations and repairs. Safe2Torch ties in with the Health And Safety Executive’s “Helping Great Britain Work Well” strategy, which promotes a safer and healthier working environment.
